I can’t uninstall Internet Explorer 8 or XP SP3.?

I’m having a problem. I got this error message when I try to uninstall IE8, The following were installed on your computer after Internet Explorer 8
Update for Windows IE 8 (KB968220)

If these programs depend on IE8, they might not work properly after it is removed. Do you want to continue? Yes or No.

There is no remove button for XP Sp3. I’m trying to revert back to ie6 because I bought some software a few weeks ago. I need ie6 to install it but i don’t want to keep ie6. I just want ie7 with Xp sp3 after i get done using ie6 for my installation
How do I remove these programs without messing the computer up. I tried the fix it tool Microsoft offered. It did not work. I also tried the restore option. I got rid of ie8 but ie7 was disabled. Somebody please help me. Provide me a safe way to uninstall these programs. Explain it to me. Just don't give me a one word answer such as "reinstall Ie7".
