I installed windows security essentials and I don’t need Mcafee so I uninstalled it. I ended up having to do a system restore a few days later and Mcafee ended up back on my computer but not in whole. So when I try to uninstall it I get a "The installation cannot continue because some uninstallation components are missing". I can’t remove the Mcafee folders in my c:\programs file manually either because I get a "These files are protected" message. Can anyone help me with my problem? I want to remove Mcafee completely because I don’t want it and I think it interferes with my Windows Security Essentials anti-virus program. Thanks.

Did you try installing Mcaffe again, and then uninstalling it?
