I recently installed yahoo messenger and now everytime I open a new internet window thing, a pop up will come up and ‘a website wants to open web content using this program on your computer’. It says its the yahoo toolbar assistant.
It gets really annoying so i uninstalled yahoo messenger but the message still comes up and the little yahoo messenger icon is still in the corner of my screen ={
How do i get rid of it?

That sound really strange. That’s sound more like you have spyware or malware installed on your computer without you intending it of cause. I would first click on "Start" on your lower left of your desktop and then on " Control Panel" then on "Add or Remove Programs". Check there if there is any programs that you didn’t put and then remove them. But be careful with that. Don’t remove something, if you don’t know what it is. However, then I would recommend to go and run the "Windows Live OneCare safety scanner" from the official Microsoft/ Widows web page. Here is the link to it. http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

That can take up to a few hours depending on what you have on your computer. It will clean up your computer. And here is the Malicious Software Removal Tool also from Microsoft Security. http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx
And here is the Windows Defender http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx
You can find all the tools on Microsoft web page under Security Products. http://www.microsoft.com/protect/default.mspx
Hope that helps you. It should. Good Luck! :o))))
