i did a Norton Security Scan and it said i have 1 item requiring attention so i downloaded ad aware to get rid

August 7th, 2008 · 2 Comments

of it because it said that the Tracking Cookie is not removable by the Free Scanner that i have, I didnt want to buy anything, so i looked into it and downloaded Ad-Aware from download.com. i did the Smart Scan for the first time, and it said that it detected something like 257 infections, so i removed them. i did the full computer scan, and i said i had 1 infection, so i removed that also. so i went back and did the smart scan just to be sure and i had more infections!!! it says i have a tracking cookie and i think a MCU something or other. every time i go back and use the smart scan to make sure everything’s gone, i always have more infections!!! not increasing in number, but random in number! i dont know what to do! help!!!!!!
i have norton antivirus and ad aware. what is CCcleaner???? i need it and i neeed it to be scam freeee!!

      Whats your Anti virus?
If you dont have one get Avast free edition , that should clear any infections on your system
To get rid of the cookies use CCleaner

Cookies aren’t infections, they are cookies. You will always get them as well as the MRUs. You can always expect to get something but a real infection will have a high number number, the higher the TAC level the higher the threat.

MRUs are of no threat usually and do not need to be removed:

Pay attention to the spyware it finds with higher TAC numbers and make sure it gets rid of them.
