I don't know where to find a codec that works on Vista, for Movie Maker. help?

August 1st, 2008 · 1 Comment

The file C:\Users\The Auntie Sisters\Music\Playlists\lll.wpl cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

That's what it said, I restarted the computer, it didn't work, so I need to find the codec, anybody know one?

I recommend Vista Codec Package 4.7.2 and download it from Major Geeks.

      http://www.majorgeeks.com/Vista_Codec_Package_d5326.html

This codec pack has received excellent reviews from users and is one of the more comprehensive packs available. Major Geeks is a reputable hosting site for freeware / shareware / full price software and is careful to make sure their downloads are virus and spyware free.

If by some chance this codec pack doesn't cure the problem, you might want to take a look at a different (also free) media player called VLC from VideoLAN.
