      Control panel > add/remove programs.

You could run a search of your program files computer using the name of the antivirus to find the directory which it is located in, and delete all of it's files.

You use the uninstall process for your operating system and uninstall it. Or you can find the folder and delete it, and then really screw things up - so DON'T do that please.

Once you have muddled through that, download a free antivirus thing and install that.

Go to your start button and click on it to open. (I'm hoping you have Windows) then go to Control Panel and click on that. Then once that opens click on "Add or Remove programs". It will bring up a list of programs…scroll down till you find it and then delete it. You may also want to try AVG Virus Protection. It is free too. Here is the link:

First of all, include more info like the name of the Anti-virus:)

and to remove this type of apps just go to the Control Panel and Add/Remove programs and remove the anti virus.

If this doesn't work like in some cases happen with Norton Anti virus, go to their website http://www.symantec.com and search for the Anti virus Removal app. or this can be found here ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/Rnav2003.exe
this removal software only works for 2003 and older version.'

      good luck

I agree with most everyone here. Don't just delete the folder, go to add/remove programs and uninstall the software.
If you do want a better anti-virus. I would check out the AVG they've been mentioning or take a look at Avira which is also free.
