I downloaded firefox because I decided to use that instead of explorer. When the download was finished, I went to open firefox and nothing opened, so I tried to open explorer, and that also wouldn’t open. So I set firefox as my main browser and it still wouldn’t work. A message came up telling me that I disabled add ons for internet explorer, so I enabled add ons and I still couldn’t open IE or firefox. I uninstalled firefox, then set explorer as my main browser and it worked again. I installed firefox again, and it still wouldn’t work. Every time I download firefox, I can’t access any browser, I click and nothing opens … what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the advice techguy, but I've tried that … when I click on the icon, nothing opens. I can't access the browser at all.

Firefox is pretty straight forward, download it and save the installer to your desktop, then run it ( it will install ) and put a firefox icon on your desktop. Then run from the Firefox Icon.
Also make sure you have the correct version for the operating system you are using. XP, VISTA, OS X, UBUNTU

Did you try uninstalling IE and then installing Firefox to see if it works in that case?
If the above scenario also does not work, try installing Safari along with IE and see if safari works.
I am sure the issue should be resolved if you uninstall IE and reinstall it.

Did you try to restart your computer after you installed FireFox and see if you were able to open it?
If that doesn’t work, perhaps you should try opening it in Safe Mode to see if you’re able to get it to work there.
