Hi, I just baught a Dell Inspiron 1525, 160HD, 2GIG RAM…(i dont know if that matters)…Windows Vista Premium
I have a 30 day Subscription Trail for Norton AntiVirus…
I have AVG 8.0 Free, currently installed and I am also using Windows Defender as well… I am thinking about uninstalling the Norton… Is it bad to have more than one Anti-Virus program?
Are there an other program I should consider in downloading.
I also am using CCLEANER…
I messed up my last laptop, I need this laptop to be in tip-top and secured.
Thanks for your help =]

McAfee, Norton and AVG all do quite well in virus detection and removal tests. AVG is head, shoulder and elbows above Mcafee and Norton for not hogging all the resources on your computer. AVG is also much cheaper to keep up-to-date, which is critical for Antivirus software even if you want to splurge and invest in the AVG non-free, it is still much cheaper.
You might also want to consider comodo free firewall:

A bit more sophisticated than the windows firewall. It can catch a lot of zero-day attacks that AV software might miss.
(CCleaner is still handy to keep around, BTW, to clean up non-viral/malware crap.)

Norton anti virus is really good and popular. It comes with loads of features to make sure you get no viruses. I use Norton and i recommend it to you. I do not think using to anti virus systems would be a good idea. First of all it would slow your computer down allot. Just get one good system and stick with it.

You only need one anti-virus program running on your computer.
Check out Kaspersky Anti-Virus. It's a top-notch anti-virus program that totally keeps your computer safe and secure. It runs in the background and it automatically downloads the latest updates so that your computer will be protected against new viruses and trojans that come out.
I am 100% satisfied with this anti-virus software and I think you would be too.

the key is to pick some virus protection program no one has heard of, hackers make viruses specifically to mess with the nortorn mcaffe and other popular programs
