on 3 august i suddenly started getting norton warnings that ‘an unrecognized program is attempting to access the internet using or any other program i happen to have open these warnings pop up every minute besides being a nuisance if i open internet explorer i have no choice but to block it so that the program using it will not get access help!! i can’t use any internet service including antivirus updates!! this is being posted from another computer

Norton should be detecting if it’s a trojan, keylogger or whatever.Go to http://www.threatfire.com and get free threatfire,it will find it and get rid of it for you.Hopefully you have a way to get it from one computer to the other.
