I worked with Norton to check my computer to see if my new antivirus ware was causing the inability to install Adobe Flash Player. It is not the cause. I have now written to Adobe to check the reason. I have done everything that everyone here has told me to do and it still will not install. I uninstalled and reinstalled both Norton and Adobe, but still nothing worked.
Someone mentioned something about an integrity issue. What's that and how can I do anything about it?

Try opening Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Browsing, and make sure there is a tick in the box "Allow Third Party Extensions". If there is no tick then place one in the box and re-start the PC or computer.

Uninstall norton. It 'USED' to be the best out there, but is simply a resource hog these days. It is so bloated that it considerably reduces the responsiveness of your computer and causes all sorts of incompatibility problems. Download AVG free (www.avg.com) and install that.
Its much more lighter on useage and does a much better job too. =)
