I HATE AT&T Online Protection from Norton. Too many problems (slow scans, Live Update issues, etc.)!?

Live Update has failed many times, I''ve been directed by the program to its help site solutions, and, on several occassions, needed to uninstall and then reinstall the whole program! This takes a while, and I'm getting tired of doing it again and again. As for slow scans, I'm talking over 24 hours long!!! What gives?
