Well, if you have a monitor output on your broken laptop, you can connect it to a monitor and use that. Unless you have an input on another laptop

Most Laptops come with a VGA (the kind of connector used for normal monitors [not LCD] or DVI (LCD monitors) port. Just connect the monitor to your laptop. Here are some pics if you need. The one on the right is DVI and on the left is VGA.
