I don’t care about people hacking into my network though it is important. I am worried about viruses and malware from the internet infecting my Wii and other internet products that may also not have its own protection. If you can help it would be greatly accepted. Thanks in advance.
Also does my Wii for example have its own protection and what may be a better Wireless Router to provide peace of mind when i am online.

Wii cannot get infected with a virus. For other devices such as laptops with WiFi, ensure to use the latest antivrus tools and at least 124-bit WEP encryption (on the router).

If you want a secure internet connection then configure you wireless router for WEP security.
If you want to protect your computer..then install two softwares>>AVG free (http://www.avg.com/filedir/inst/avg_free_stf_en_8_173a1373.exe)and Superantispyware(http://downloads.superantispyware.com/downloads/SUPERAntiSpyware.exe) free and regularly scan your computer.
**If you have wireless connection then it should be a secure network as it is preconfiguered by the Internet service provider.
