From time to time I get this little Norton 360 icon in the very top right corner of my screen. Though its not reall any icon. I can drag it across the screen and it does have a X connected to it but you cant X it. What it looks like is the right top corner of any open window with the minimize, restore down, and close, but it only has the x part connected to it. Anyone know what this is? It seems like the only way to get rid of it is by going into task manager and end task it.
Im not asking how to get rid of the icon, cuz it did just disappear. Im asking what is it and where did it come from.

Hi Mike,
This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support team responding to your post about Norton 360. The symptoms you describe can be caused by a possible infection on your computer, or a software conflict. Please make sure that you do not have any other third party anti-virus or internet security applications installed and running, as they can cause conflicts with Norton 360.
Have you tried running a Comprehensive Scan on your computer to make sure that you are not infected? Please try manually running LiveUpdate by opening Norton 360, click on the "Settings" link at the top of the window, and choose "Check for Updates." This will ensure that you have the latest program and definition updates applied to Norton 360. After LiveUpdate has completed downloading and installing available updates, please restart your computer in Windows Safe Mode and run a Comprehensive scan from there.
If Norton 360 alerts you to an infection, please try removing the infection and then run the scan again.
Please let me know the status after you have run LiveUpdate and completed a scan.
Thank you,
Mike
