Before i had Ad-aware, Spy-bot and windows defender then my computer started going slow and i got popups so i thaught it is spyware, i used the three and they picked up a few but did not solve the problem. i Also did scans in safemode as someone suggested as my pc was running so slow. As that didn't work i downloaded a trial of Zone Alarm and did a scan this picked up a few but didn't stop it. i did the same with norton 360 and bullguard and spyware doctor but no change the problem is getting worse. i dont think there is any more i can download that will work so what can i do.
My Computer is Windows XP, 4800 x2 AMD, 2gb ram, 200gb HDD and a 8600 gts graphics. it was lightening speed before now it is like i am running vista on a old 98 pc
Can anyone help i have got so many virus and antispy that have not solved it what can i do next.

The problem might be that since you have so many protectors, they are competing with one another and they are slowing the pc down…

Well you should only have 2 or 3 anti spy ware programs on your pc it is running slow because you have too many and there are ads because all your anti spy ware programs are conflicting against each other
keep adaware, spybot dont bother with win defender also get some antivirus software if yuo dont have any you should know that anti spyware is for spyware not or viruses

Well, first of all, you have way too many protection programs. One of the reasons your pc is so slow is that your protection programs are fighting for territory over your machine. I'm sure that a couple of the spyware programs you have actually contain spyware themselves. I would uninstall all of the protection programs that you have but, keep Windows Defender. Go to spywareterminator.com and download that program. Integrate Clam AV with it and you should be o.k.I love this program, I have been using this program for a little over a year now and everyone I have told about it loves it too.

I'm no expert, but you have too many; anti-spyware programs. I know they recommend to use only one, but I too use Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. They find different things, so it is good to have more than one. I think your problem is having too many, and also, XP. I just upgraded from a 9 year old computer with 98 to one with XP and I can see why I have always seen articles and ads to increase the speed of XP. Perhaps after you decide on which programs you really want to keep to eliminate spyware, trojans, pop-ups, etc., you should look up some of those articles. Don't waste your money on any programs, though. I wasted a lot of money on accelerators and optimizers; they were all useless.
