i purchased my pc in 2006.it came with norton security package.i let the antivirus expire and got a better software.but according to the norton control center the firewall is still on.personally i think norton is junk.questions.1.is the firewall still effective even though the anti-virus expired.2.should i just uninstall the whole thing and get zone alarm for my firewall

i think u should change da security…………..bcoz norton is nt very good…….u can try kaspersky…….its better…..

uninstall it.. expired antiviruses are out of date[?]..
plus, expired antiviruses are annoying.. there would be reminders everytime you open a computer that your antivirus has expired.. btw, use kaspersky as your antivirus, its the best around..

If you are using XP it has a built in firewall. I find this works very well. Definitely uninstall everything Norton, it gets very heavy handed.
