i have an ipod that i bought from a friend but i cant download itunes bcuz it says i need sp2 or newer version. i cant download sp1,2,3 bcuz i dont have a legit copy of windows. so is there any way i can transfer music to my ipod without itunes?

I would actually get rid of Windows and get PCLinuxOS or Mandriva linux. They are complete systems that are free as in no money required. If this doesn’t look like an option for you, then you might take a look at Sharepod software. It is also free and enables you to put music on your ipod from your computer, and also lets winamp browse your iPod playlists and play them on your computer without copying them onto your hard drive. I sometimes use Media Monkey to sync my ipod.
