June 29th, 2009 · 3 Comments

for example when i log on i will have different types of DLLs like error lexplore etc (its not just 1 type theres several types) and it wil close down my internet page and a fresh page willcome up, sometiems restart my computer or just freeze it. this happens often whenever i go on my computer. this only happened recently. i also tried rebooting my computer and this is still occuring this never use to happen before but only recently.

Usually a dll error at startup is due to a program having been deleted. The program got deleted but there is still a reference to it in the registry. So the program gets called to run but since it was deleted the dll for that program is no longer there and you see the error. (not always but often this is the case) Right down these errors and go through registry and delete all references to these dll's.

You IE troubles sound like a classic internet hijack program.

Currently I like using malwarebytes and combofix for cleaning my system of shareware and malware. You need a good virus program for viruses but these two are decent for the rest of those troublesome programs that are not actual viruses.
