three times. I was getting LU1845 error message every time I ran Run Life Update. The program stopped at Norton Confidental program. Sherman in ATT Yahoo Oakland area call center yesterday evening said Norton Confidental was NOT part of the package provided by ATT Yahoo. The first two installs by ATT Yahoo HAD Norton Confidental. Somehow he did NOT install it. Low and behold, I was able to Run Live Update from the Norton Icon. This was the 5th or 6th try to do this Security Install. Am I "safe" WITHOUT Norton Confidental or do I need to purchase a separate program? Thank you. Gene Cline

I use Norton provided by ATT Yahoo and have never had a problem.
I am not sure I understand what all went on.
If you had a trial version of of Norton preinstalled on your computer from the manufacturer you would have had to use the Norton Removal tool before downloading the Att Yahoo Norton.
Even after doing that I found in task scheduler a Norton program that always failed when it tried to run, I later found that it was left behind from the removal process and was part of the original trial version. Actually I was protected. Without updates you are not protected. I have read that updates can fail when parts of previous installations are left behind. I would contact Norton for support or even the manufacturer of your comp. if fairly new and a trial version was installed.
