Bought a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo: Intel CPU T2060 @ 1.60Ghz; RAM 766 MB; 32 Bit OS. Installed Vista Home Basic after a few months started crashing regularly. Followed all the net tutorials to no avail. Last resort reinstalled Vista, most of the problems gone. But realized I’d left the old os in place thus restricting memory. Please very clear step by step instructions. Want to uninstall both as I find WMP 11 a nightmare won’t read majority of my dvds

Unless you created a partition on your hard drive, or you have multiple hard drives in your system, it’s not possible to install more than one operating system. If you did create a partition, or you have multiple hard drives, then you can delete the operating system by doing this:
1. Click the start button
2. Right-click ‘computer’ and select manage
3. Go to disk management
4. Format or delete the partition or hard drive with the operating (this will delete everything on that partition or hard drive, so transfer anything you need to the other partition or hard drive first)
EDIT: To uninstall both, just do this to both partitions/hard drives. This will delete everything on your computer, though, and will leave you without an operating system, so make sure you have install discs for another operating system before you do this.
