i have no sound on IE7/firefox i have tried everything suggested and still no sound on these websites for 4mth

I cannot hear anything in ie7 or firefox ; my speaker sys. works fine and SoundMax Annolog Digital Sound card is operating ok. I have tried everything humanely possible to no avail. Can anyone out there suggest a remedy for my dilemna, please? Aching to here sound on my PC.

if both IE and firefox are not working, then it could be a virus. Do a scan, just to be safe, http://delete-virus.com
