eveytime i use a search engine and click a link the search engine brings me right back to the home page of the search engine or sometimes it brings me back to phony antivirus page. so i dled a antispyware for mac and the spyware is a dsnchanger trojan horse. i got rid of it but the problem is stil there and nothing has changed

Have you tried to uninstall it? If so, you may need to backup your data on a external hard drive and reinstall your computer…software,operating system, and EVERYTHING!
