When I try to install it, it says to install norton internet security. I have searched the computer thoroughly and norton internet security is definitely uninstalled. What can i do to make norton 360 install?

you checked the registry local machine software symantec or norton
and in program files itself
checked that and download

When you search your downloaded files on C drive, look for anything that says Symantec. This is part of the Norton download and will have to be removed as well before you can download Norton 360. You might have already uninstalled anything that says Norton, but do the same with Symantec.
