I have a coulpe of virius on my laptop. I used to have Trendo Micro but i unistalled it and now i have no defalut security center. When i click on the little pop up it takes me to somthing that says open with and i try to find the file then open it but it wont work. I have a Dell Insprion,XP

Download, install and run:
mbam from http://www.malwarebytes.org
superantispyware from http://www.superantispyware.com
Delete everything they find.

ok, first thing you will want to do, totally forget about mcafee! it sucks! then, go on the internet, install a program called Avast from here, best free anti-virus in my opionion http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html then what your going to want to do, is get a spyware remover, incase you have yourself any spyware from here, this program is called spybot search-and-destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html select any location, it doesn’t matter, the only difference will be your download time, which wont be significant, lol then after you have ran scans with both programs, and if a virus shows up have it delete it, ok now if this worked, install a firewall so this is less likely to happen again this program is called Comodo firewall, when you install a program, shut it off, otherwise you will be annoyed with how many “yeses” you have to click, but other than that, it’s a great firewall
Now, if you can’t get ride of any of the viruses for some reason, PM me at “justinram11(at)gmail.com to talk about reinstallation of windows… lol hope all goes well
