October 21st, 2008 · 3 Comments

I get a (norton system) message that asks if I want to use the norton firewall (recommended) instead of the windows firewall. I keep choosing the windows firewall, but what my the best choice….and what’s the difference?

Norton wants to disable the windows firewall and use it’s own firewall. You should let it.

When I used Norton’s firewall, it honked up my Microsoft Office applications. Keep doing what you’re doing. Better yet, cancel Norton when it is due again.

you shouldn’t run two simultaneously to stop windows firewall inbound protection only go to control panel admin tools services (windows firewall) right click prop change from auto to disable and click stop service
