I have a question, On my desktop I have windows vista home edition. I recently noticed that when i open a window on internet explorer that a window, comes up just for a second and it says preparing to install. Then it leaves as fast as it came. With this I cant uninstall anything from the program list or download anything as a matter of fact. Does anyone know anything that would help me with this?

99% guarantee that you need a anti-virus software. go get one and make a full scan before doing anything. You can try norton, lots of download on the net, try to google it.
