i have windows vista home premium and want to edit the registry to increase my downloads 20%. gpedit.msc wont work for this version so any ideas?? has anyone fixed this problem??

You can't do it that way. There ARE (ignore the comment of Wez) freeware sites that offer tools for accelerating downloads, but there is no registry tweak or change that you can use to increase your downloads by 20%.

Ok first thing is no freeware software would allow you to increase your download speed, it just insnt possible. Secondly open your gateway settings to allow programs, for instance if you use utorrent open a port so it allows incoming connections. And finally if you still aint satisfied increase your download speed by upgrading your broadband !
