I installed Adobe Illustrator recently and I had to uninstall it because an unknown error occured.?

The problem is I reinstalled Illustrator agian and tried to uninstall the program again. However, there was an error during uninstallation. So I deleted the Illustrator folder. But when I wanted to install he software agin now it wont allow me to do so because last time I deleted files. The Illustrator program is still in the control panel even though the folder is not there. I tried to remove it from the Add or Remove programs in the control panel. But it is not working. Can you please tell me how to uninstall this application completely.
