…however, the sofware is just for 60 days trial and I'm not familiar with this software. Should I continue using this software after the trial period or using other software like Kaspersky or Norton to protect my computer.

Despite what people say about Norton i like it, had it now for 4 years and never had a problem, i don't really like McAfee but that's just me.
People will tell you Norton uses up lots of resources but the latest 2009 version doesn't.

Its your choice but I wouldn't pay for McAfee, nothing bad will happen if you don't use what they gave you with the computer. I would recommend going with AVG. I have used and recommended AVG both privately and professionally for years, it has great protection and the best part is it's free. Once the McAfee trial period runs out download AVG or install another antivirus program of your choice and you should be fine. To get AVG go to: http://free.avg.com/ and click "Get it now". Hope that helps!

Mcafee is a good program, but most people would rather use anti-virus programs that you can download from a freeware/shareware site.
Avast and AVG are two decent anti-virus programs that are freeware/shareware.
They may not be quite as good as Mcafee but they are close, and
I don't know about AVG but there is an edition of Avast that is completely
free.
(You have to get a new license key every few months but they don't charge you for it.)

Mcafee is not only crap but the companies policy is dubious too, there are others in the market offering services better than they do. And to go on, I had purchsed 3 copies of Mcafee 2008. Little did I know that the softwares were meant only for the year 2008. Their literature does not mention any thing abt this. This year when I've installed the softwares on two new computers, I get a msg from Mcafee that my softwares have expired and I need to renew them @ 19.99 dollars. Even if the softwares were of the prvious year, they were new sealed and unused for which I've paid, ethically the company should have upgraded for a period of 12 months from the date of installation. DON'T GO FOR MCafee.
