I just bought the McAfee Total Protection 2009 and it says I am not online but I am?

It says to update I need to be online, which I am. I can’t get anyhelp b/c the stupid chat session wont download
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Norton wouldnt upload so I thought McAfee might. I should have just stuck with Windows one care

      when you installed it windows should have had a pop up saying McAfee is trying to access the internet. If you clicked deny, that’s probably your problem.

      Not sure what else it could be. Try finding a McAfee tech support number.

      i never trust mcafee nor i will never get it but try to do a live update then it should auto fix it self lol that or ur firewall might be blocking it
