I just don’t safe using Windows Firewall, but the technicians who I just paid $269.00 to fix my computer said it is a good firewall & I don’t want to install a free firewall & have something go wrong with my computer.
If you use Windows Firewall, do you feel it is enough security or have you had any problems with it?
What are your experiences using Windows Firewall?
Why did you keep it or why did you choose a different firewall?
What do you recommend as the best Free Firewall & why?

I only use the windows firewall and the AVG and I have never had any problems.

I use windows firewall and AVG too… Its enough for me and I do alot of downloading and surfing… Never had an issue. I’ve tried quite a few of the free firewalls and for some reason they just cause my laptop to grind to a halt, really slows it down… Even using norton slows everything down to the speed of dial up for me. If something gets through the firewall AVG will pick it up in its daily scan… No biggie!

Windows Firewall and AVG should be alright to have on your computer as long as you stay away from porn sites and warez sites which are full of spyware and viruses. Also download Ad-Aware 2008 from Lavasoft, it’s freeware and is quite good at finding spyware. Update these programs a few times per week and you should have few problems.

I use windows live one care and I love it if something goes wrong you can see it on the bottom. It tells you with green, yellow, or a red -1-that is circled.
