I keep getting the message "pthreadVC2.dll was not found" when I try to open iTunes?

I have a PC, I already installed all my windows updates and I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes.

I also tried Disk Clean up.

Unfortunately, you have an iTunes upgrade that went bad. It happens sometimes, and it’s not exactly clear what combination of events causes it. The fix is somewhat painful, but is documented below.

Click on ‘General Installation Troubleshooting’ in the link below. Follow the procedure to completely uninstall both iTunes and QuickTime and to clean up the system completely of any leftover installation bits. Then download the latest iTunes and install it.

Others with the same problem as you have reported that this has fixed it.
