I made my computer from XP to Vista, now my speakers won’t work!?

September 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Okay, so I used a disc to make my crappy computer into a whole brand new Vista System. Everything is great but there is 3 problems. 1, my freakin speakers wont work! 2, When I try to shut it down, it wont shut down all the way. 3, I can’t do windows updates. WHAT THE BUCK?! help me please. Desperate need of help. Parents are depending on me
My speakers worked before I installed vista. The computer detects the speakers, but no sound is coming out.
Nevermind the shutting down the computer works, speakers and windows Updates are my number one priority help. Please

download sound drivers maybe. but you have to activate windows updates somewhere in the control panel. look under security and click windows updates.

      Let’s start with the sound:

I don’t think the problem is your speakers. As you have updated to Vista, you apparently need to load a Vista driver for your sound card. Go to the manufacturer website for your sound card and see if they have a vista driver for your particular card. This should fix your problem.

Your other two problems could possibly be an incompatibility issue between Vista and one of your devices.
