To fully have my computer protected from internet threats and tain my peace of mind, I will need to install a good anti-spyware software for my system. Can you give me some advice on the best and effective anti-spyware programs out there? Thanks in advance on any of your advices.=)

Use ESET's NOD32 (about $30/year), Spybot (free) and Windows Defender (free). I've written a guide on this with all the links (people ask this question a lot).

use Ad-aware 2007 (Free) for a weekly scan, and use Spyware Terminator 2 for a daily scan and real time proctection.
I tested roughly 15 free antispy apps on an infected computer. And the combo of these two proved to be the best at not only detecting but also removing.

HAD SpyBot serach and destroy…it didn't catch 40 Spyware! SO, I researched and downloaded SUPERANTISPYWAR..Worked great!

Try avg antispyware free edition. Go to http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-spyware/us/frt/0 . The program is free, dependable, and a AVG is a very trusted source for computer protection.

Spy Sweeper i fully trust it, when adware tries to install itself on my pc 4-5 times i've seen it, Spy Sweeper blocks it, and trojans and all other spyware, grayware, malware, and every other thing it blocks if it is a harm to your pc

simplest thing u would do is go on google.com search wit the term "download free spyware" and whichever suits ur needs or supports u best .. download it i would suggest the one from microsoft.

if ur computer is infected by spyware/adwares/malwares, these spyware and adwares are trojans used by web masters to advertise thier website using trojans, when ur pc is infected, trojans will show pop ups in ur pc and alert messages, dont b worried, u can easily get rid of spywares and adwraes by using any free spyware removal or adware killer tools,u can download spyware killer and adware removals tools from the link below
