I just downloaded Limewire 4.18, to download music. I’ve had it before but then installed NERO anti virus, and then noticed Limewire would work anymore. I have since taken NERO off my computer but limewire still won’t work. When I try to download something it says this: “Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network” I wait and even though I can go on the net..it still won’t work. But I checked and according to the globe on the bottom left corner with a brick wall in front, I apparently have a firewall…..So I jsut need to be able to get that off and need to be able to use limewire…please help…and lplease be specific, because I’m not very smart when it comes to computers. Go to the options in limewire and configure it for your firewall.Click tools,options,advanced,go to firewall config,make sure use PPnp is checked.Go to proxy and make sure no proxies is checked.Right click on your firewall go to options and then exceptions,type in limewire.exe
Don’t ever turn your firewall off to make a program run,that’s just asking for big trouble.
