ok, so my computer has been acting up lately, and i checked my mcafee icon on my desktop and when i looked at the main screen it says "am i protected?: No." and its suppose to say "yes" now. it also says to fix this problem, click FIX. which is the icon right nest to the phrase "am i protected?:no" and when i click on that, a reminder pops up that says "programs needed to reinstall : mcafee security suite: and its bugging me cuz idk how. (btw, i got my mcafee security off comcast)

why don't you download mcafee again from comcast? uninstall first from add/remove programs but only after you have the installer downloaded.Good luck.

I agree with what Sam above said. BUT when uninstalling it use the McAfee removal tool.

I would just uninstall it and go with AVG free addition unless you want to get one you pay for. I like AVG and it's the only company that has a free program and not a free trail.

Had the same problem a while ago with McAfee AV downloaded thru Comcast, sometimes you can repair it using MacAfee Virtual Technician, other times you have to reinstall it but use McAfee Removal Tool if you want to avoid the same problem in the future. Hope this helps you.
