When I download an attachment Norton comes up to check it. But Trend Micro should be doing that. I had to have my computer restored (by the geek squad) and now Norton checks my attachments but like I said Trend Micro used to. Can someone please tell me what happen and how to get rid of Norton?
Norton is not in my add and romove It was deleted when I got Trend Mocro back in August.

Add/Remove Programs in your control panel, find and remove/uninstall Norton.
It is not wise to have more then one anti-virus program on a machine.

goto this page, download the tool and use it to completely and safely remove the norton products:

Yahoo! servers use norton to scan your attachments before they are downloaded to your computer..so Norton is not on your computer..

You cannot. Yahoo scans everyones e mail attachments on their own server BEFORE it every reaches your computer. So if you have Trend on your computer, your attachments are now scanned twice, once at the server level and once on your own PC.
You are doubly safe!

Go to your computers "control panel", left click on add/remove programs and scroll down to Nortons. Then just click the add/remove button to safely remove the program.
