Should I download and run these 3 tonight or are there better free ones? Please help.

AVAST, from WWW.AVAST.COM for a free good program
SPYBOT from WWW.SPYBOT.ORG to clean the system of any spyware / adware
CCLEANER from WWW.CCLEANER.COM run it’s main scan for temp files, then click issues and do the “dead registry links” cleanout. Again as with all 3, it’s free and reliable.
Or should I use

Download Spyware Terminaor (http://www.spywareterminator.com)
Spybot S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org)

Viruses and MAlware are very different things. You need to protect against both of them. I like AVG for security and virus protection. I like Spybot for malware control. Use them both, you’ll find one leaves bits the other finds.

1.Spybot search and destroy is decent enough,as is lavasoft ad-aware.But I recommend using a tool called HijackThis.Google it and use it carefully.It’s guaranteed to show any spyware that you have
2. Avast is pretty poor,but it is the best free option.So unless you are ready to shell out for a subscription AV,avast should do the trick
3.I really don’t think tools like ccleaner are of any use.There is a simple program called ATF-cleaner.exe google it.

avast is good ,i use spybot s&d and avira antivirus

I set up a lot of computers for my friends, family, and as part of my PC business (part-time). The four programs I always use are:
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8
Spybot S&D (now version 1.6)
Adaware 2008
ZoneAlarm Free Firewall
For the first three you can just go to http://www.download.com and get them all there. http://www.zonelabs.com for Free ZoneAlarm.
Make sure you use the Immunize feature of Spybot to help protect you against known problems going forward.

Use Avira anti-virus, Ad Aware anti-spyware & ccleaner. Also, use Firefox instead of IE, much safer.
