I need to know which physical address or mac to use because I want to set up a secure connection on my laptop.

i want to set up the wireless router so only my computer can connect. when i typed ipconfig/all 3 different physical addresses come up. one is for a local area connection, one is for a wireless connection that shows my modem, and one is for a wireless connection that shows my wireless pc card. which one do I use? also how do I know whether to set up Wep or Wpa connection for my computer? I've tried to set up either one and my computer won't work. but first I need to know which physical address or mac I use of the 3 that come up. I'm using a Netgear router and Netgear pc card. I tried the steps on Netgears website on configuring wireless security but can't get it to work. any help would be appreciated.
