I got a "platform update" which was supposed to update my DirectX but unfortunately my ATI Graphics Card is incapable of supporting the new version, I tried going to the updates list to find it, but it’s not listed the same way as the updates history is listed, could someone help me?

Usually before such an update is run your computer will create a restore point, all you need to do is restore your system. BE aware that anything installed after the restore point is created gets wiped!!

Use the add/remove programs; then go to Ati .com & downloads the "Right Driver(s) for your machine

just restore your windows..
right klik on my computer and choose properties..
after it,choose system protection..
restore to point which you install the crash software version before..
i think it will help..

The easiest way would just be System Restore to the day before the update took place.
Just go to: Start/ help &support/ system restore
If you don’t want the windows to just update again, make sure you turn off automatic update. Or at the very least check what it is before it installs.

Go to the ATI official website and update your ATI Driver to fix your problem.
But if you want to uninstall a windows update on windows vista:
Start –> Control Panel –> Windows Update –> Installed Updates (In the down right of the screen) –> Double click on your update and uninstall.
