If you don't have recovery point, try Spybot. Eventhough, you clean everything you might have to reinstall Firefox.

Format your drive and reinstall your OS.
Virus removal is a pain, and it's often safer to just backup your important data and format your drive.

Virus infect the system files and when you remove them they mess up the system.
I donot rely much on AVG, I suggest you scan your compute with Kaspersky online scanner.

Anyways if you don't have any important data then you reinstall Windows.
If your laptop came with a liscenced copy of windows then they must have provided you with CDs for reinstallation of Windows.
Backup your important data in such a way that when you reload the important data virus does not come back.
Else you may just reinstall Firefox

Most of the trojans will have registry entries to start automatically every time u boot… these entries are not generally deleted by AVG. So u should use Ccleaner or Advanced Windows Care which will not only delete these but also do something MUCH more.(These are not antivirus)

Hmm… I'd say from best guess. That the trojan's were targeting those specific files that firefox uses and when you deleted them it might have screwed it up. You won't have to send it in to get it fixed like I say, " I its not a hardware problem it can be fixed easily…because I'm bad with hardware." Your computer should still have internet explorer which I know is dreadful but you'll have to use it :). Any way first uninstall firefox and go into internet explorer and re download it and reinstall it. Hopefully it will replace those missing files and be working again. Now about the computer being slow. You'll have to check the processes list. I can get to it through Ctrl-Alt-Delete and clicking on the processes tab. Look for anything that seems suspicious like has the same name as those trojans and end that process and before you end any google them and check what they are you dont want to delete any windows drivers or anything. Another way to speed it up is to go to start-run- and type in msconfig and click run. click on the startup tab and uncheck anything that has the same name as those trojans. I cant stress this enough on how when you end processes be carefull and ALWAYS check them in google before you end them.
Well I hope this helped you and if you need any other help or it doesn't work just send me an email at: rockerx11@gmail.com
