When i bought my laptop it was with Norton anti virus 3 months trail it expaired weeks ago,
then I removed Norton from my computer and I tried to install another anti virus ,after download complated there is dailog box appears says you have anti virus software installed in your laptop so you shouled remove it.but I couldn't find out the anti virus it says,So how i can find it or install the one i want?

Go to c:/programs and settings/ and look for anything with Norton, Liveupdate or Symantec on it, delete it.
If that doesn't work download CCleaner and see if that clears it.

CA is Best with Spy bot search and destroy easy to use and gets rid of viruses automatically go to your local computer store and get them to install it on your computer you will be glad you did

Boot on safe mod then uninstall that from add/remove.
After that installing new anitvirus.

Doesn't tell you when you load it on BUT there is only ONE WAY to uninstall a Norton Anti Virus
that is their own uninstaller utility which you get from
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
(Avast is another that needs a separate uninstaller, good as it is otherwise)
the CCleaner advice will work for most other things
