I got this from this Yedda user. I followed it step by step.
"This will work if you’ve gone to Tools-Add ons- and deleted the aim tool bar.
1. open firefox, type in "about:config" in the keyword box (where you usually type you web addresses).
2. Type in "keyword.url" at the top where it says "filter"
3. right click on the URL and select "modify"
4. DELETE URL.
5. type in "keyword.enable" in the filter bar; if the value is true then keyword smart search thingy is enabled, if it is false then it is disabled…to turn it on and off just double click it.
6. DONT DO ANYTHING ELSE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING!
— Here’s where it got tricky. I deleted the URL and typed in "keyword.enable" inside the filter. I checked to see if it said "true" and it did. But now when I type in a phrase like, "Dog catching," into the address bar, a window pops up and says "This is not a URL."
How do I return my search settings back so that whenever I type in a phrase, it takes me to a google search page?
