You can do a disk cleanup from XP (and probably Vista).
Go to Programs, Accessories, System Tools and pick Disk Cleanup. This will remove system temp files.
You can also delete History and Temp files within Interent Explorer.

(Cleanup) is the best, I freed up about 1.5 gig on a friends computer the other day, using it. Works like a charm, and its free at the link provided.

u might wanna try an excellent software called "OO software"
and no its not some random crap u find on the internet.
it is infact used for IT and techincals and is very proffesional software.
there are multipule downloads like how to increase ur RAM, make ur comp run twice as fast, defrag etc.
its a microsot gold partner
go to google and type in oo-software then go to their website.
this OO software cleaned 7GBs of junk from my computer even though it wasnt lot (i only used 67GB/500GB).
