I have heard many stories of identity theft and what happens when someone steals your information . I am someone who always has the cash on hand to pay for what I get. I am learning to use the computer some and have found some instances where I need a card to buy something . I do not own a card that I can use to buy things online. I was told at the bank that all cards are secure . Is this tue?

They all have roughly the same level of security (great, but not perfect)
If you're really concerned, go to a second bank, open up an account there, get a debit card, and deposit cash when you're looking to buy something on-line.
That way, if the account does get stolen, you're only out a little bit of money, instead of your whole checking account.

identity theft does happen but as long as u havent been careless with ur details, forexample lending your card to people, its ur banks job to deal with it if and when it happens , someone used £1000 from my account i told the bank wasnt my transaction i had the money back in my account within a week..keep an eye on ur statement and make sure u only enter ur details into secure webpages when shopping onlinel..you should be alright x
