No, I've had this stock for years but have never done anything with it. It was transferred to me from my grandpa.

Probably it means that you have purchased this stock very recently and the settlement for the delivery of the stocks has not happened. Unless the stocks are delivered in your demat a/c after the settlement, you cannot sell the stocks.,

Why are you selling it? So you can waste your money on something? I doubt your Grandpa saved all of those shares so you would sell them. You will regret it!
