Okay I want to uninstall IE from my PC. However I downloaded things I want on my PC such as AVG, Spybot, Mozilla..etc.. using IE. My question here is..If i uninstall IE will these programs still work? Not really worried about AVG, SPYbot etc because those can be redownloaded using Mozilla. Im concerned that Mozilla wont work then BAM not internet browsing at all!! So, please answer..thanks!

You can cause corruption amongst your critical operating system files if you attempt to remove IE completely as well as possibly render Outlook Express inoperable (OE is part of IE).
If you have XP and IE7 installed, you can roll back to IE6 by removing IE7 in Control Panel, Add/Remove programs. If you have Vista, you are stuck with IE7. However, you can simply run a different web browser intead (such as Firefox)

You can't really uninstall IE as it is part of the operating system. You can remove access to it by using the add/remove Windows components but its still on the machine

IE is integrated in the Windows operating system and if you remove it it will take with it files that it shares with Windows and render your PC unusable or at best very unstable. I recommend you just keep it and don't use it, it's not hurting anything just sitting there not being used.

Never never monkey around with your IE if you have it dont use it just use firefox, safari or opera. Just leave it be. It can make a hellOfABitch on your operating system and you do not need the kind of problems it can give. My IE is just sitting in my unit and I dont give a damn about it coz I do not use it. Just leave it be if you do not like it

If your Windows version is later than Windows 2000, removing IE from Windows components will only remove shortcuts to it but the program will still be there. It is possible to uninstall IE from later Windows versions but it is a long winded process and not worth the hassle. Plus some websites do not run properly on any browser other than IE (you can use IE Tab Firefox extension to view these websites, but this obviously need IE installed), so keeping IE may be better than getting rid of it.
