i was scanning my computer with avg and it caught 4 threats of trojan horses?

July 26th, 2008 · 4 Comments

after than it kept scanning but suddenly i saw the bluescreen for like 1 second (im not even sure if it was the typical error message), and then my laptop just shut off itself .. i rebooted my laptop and scanned again but the 4 threats were not found.. what is this??? does my laptop now have a virus? i tried scanning repeatedly but the 4 threats were not found anymore after the shutoff but there r strange named files i've not seen before.

AVG is a solid program, I would trust it. Just keep scanning and if you want to, try different antivirus programs to see if they find anything. If your computer keeps acting funny, that might be an indicator of a virus though.

ahhhh, we told you not to delete the inside of the i386 folder…. maybe that did something to it.
anyways, i still recommed avira antivirus to you. AVG got 32% of the viruses real-time, Avira got 72% according to av-comparatives.org and got the "advanced +" certificate. and its freeeee

that's OK. it means the avg had it been deleted. no things 2 worry about. U can delete the folder if u want.

Launch AVG control center and check the event history log. This should tell you what was found and what action was taken.
