I was told that I should not have my Windows firewall on while the Norton 2009 antivirus is on at the same time. Does anyone know if this is true? Does Norton antivirus have a firewall too? And is so will it really slow don some of my online programs?
Only answer if you know! No dumb answers please. Thank you for your help.

Yes, disable the windows firewall when you’re using norton’s firewall. Two firewalls will mess up your computer.

It will have firewall if it says on the box that is has firewall. It usually will. It depends what version you have. If you have internet security, it does. If you have 360, then it will. Try going on the website of where you got it (EX: Best buy, Circuit City, Target, Walmart, etc, etc) and do a search for the one you have. It should not slow down your computer if it is decent. If depends on the specs of your machine. And you should turn off any other antivirus and firewall programs if you have Norton enabled because if there is two enabled, then they will delete each other.
