You should ask your dr what sort of diet you need to be on. Eating only fruit is not healthy for a pregnant woman, you're not getting all the nutrients you need for the baby. Are you eating any source of protein? That's important.
If eating real food grosses you out, go get some whey protein and make shakes with fruit, milk, and yogurt. It's a sweet, tasty way to get some protein.

that sounds similar to what happened to me….i started at 134 also and i gained 9 pounds in 4 weeks….my doctor told me to eat smaller portions of food….because the portions i was eating were too large….and also try to stay away from juices because they had too much sugar….youre only supposed to drink 8 ounces of juice a day and i was drinking way more than that….so i just drank water and milk everyday and it helped me out….good luck.

You may want to ask your doctor what foods are good for the baby but won't add to much weight to you. I believe it's not empty calories and there is a way of adding weight to the baby without adding it to you but to make sure that it's done right and safe you might want to ask either your doctor. Good Luck!

Try and not eat alot of candies as they tend to add a good many pounds on a pregnant woman, usually as they put it, straight to the hips. Also, another good thing to try is popcorn. Popcorn is a good snack that won't make you fat and will fill you up mid-afternoon when the cravings hit, like if you have a craving for chips (popcorn is better than those chips for you). Don't over eat on bread and such products like that. Eat some good vegetables.

I'm 33 weeks and I have gained 30 lbs. I'd say don't diet of course but do eat healthy. Chicken veggies, and steam them with no butter. Just add a little salt for flavor and use olive oil for cooking. No fried foods, and if you can try walking 2-3 times a week. I know it's hard but i try to walk that mucha nd it has seemed to keep at a steady weight. Try not to drink any empty calories, no good for you or the bo bo. Like soda. Good luck to you!

No sodas or fast foods… I ate a lot of fast foods and when i was 6 months my doctor brang up my weight gain too.
Dont worry too much because my baby is 6 months old now and im pretty much back to my normal weight. on my 9th month of pregnancy weighed 199!! Im down to 150… Still have a few more pounds to lose but im not complaining. Fast foods are really bad and junk food. stay away from all that.

Chicken is good for you as long as it is baked and a good source of protein, Just discuss with your obgyn that you are concerned about your weight and want to kno what types of things to eat and still be able to get all the nutrients needed.

Try walking, its a great form of exercise and you shouldn't really go into labour unfit.
Just eat smaller portions and try to only snack on healthy things like fruit, carrot sticks (mmmm) nuts, etc.
I put on LOADS of weight at the beginning, was rather nervous my midwife would say something but she hasn't yet. Have managed to maintain the same weight for about 4 weeks now.
Goodluck hun, i know how hard it is!

are you not still active? there's no reason for you to not continue your former activity level now that you're pregnant. i'm 27 weeks and have gained 21 lbs so far so you probably have gained a bit too much. you should just count your calories and make all of them count. no junk food.

It seems really strange that you say you are gaining weight because most overweight women lose weight when they become pregnant. Your doctor may be really watching your sugar more than your weight. I would just try to lay off the sweets and junk food until your doctor says more. It justs sounds strange to me though because I lost 50 lbs. with my daughter and I lost 10 lbs. when I had my twins. Be careful and take care being pregnant throws your body all out of whack.

Well avoid fried foods and things high in sodium (salty things, of course the 1 thing I wanted during pregnancy). I've always ate healthy and great, I eat whole grain everything, lots of veggies, lean meats, tons of water, nothing with lots of sugar or sodium, and all the other things that are great to eat. I also walked 2 miles a day, 4 days a week and ate great and I gained 55 pounds!!! Sometimes there's just not anything you can do.
I recommend avoiding foods high in sugar and sodium and limit your fried foods as much as possible. I'm not a doctor, but that's what I would recommend.

I'm 5'0, and started at about 150 (a bit overweight), and have only gained about 18lbs midway through. Sounds like you and I are going to be about the same weight. my dr didn't seem concerned only because I'm on target for the 30lb total weight gain.
I hear you on being too tired to walk, I work 9 hr days and my exhaustion is arleady coming back. I know i don't always make the best food choices, and I'm afraid to get on the scale ( I had been checking at home for quite some time, but stopped-maybe I should do that again tomorrow morning). I have an aversion to salad stuff…for the most part I just want to eat sweets, carbs, pizza, pasta,…things that I know aren't the best.
Good luck.
edit
for the girl who said most girls overweight lose weight-yes, she is correct, but 135 is not extremely overweight for our size, at least my build. I can barely hold down being 128, and was regularly at 138 for a while, until me and my hubby got together and I got comfortable. The women I know who have lost a lot of weight while pregnant were on par to get gestational diabetes, and were at least 100lbs overweight. You are not that heavy at your weight you started at.

to eat healthier,
you could eat those meals that you buy from the store,
say lean cusuine,
or the sun diet.
just get a friend to be your walking buddy
or walk your dog.
